Our Kaysville Headquarters

A Kaysville CPA Firm Rooted in Davis County

FJ & Associates, PLLC is headquartered at 612 N Kays Dr in Kaysville — home base for our licensed CPAs and for PayrollOne, the firm’s in-house payroll service. From here we serve growing businesses across Davis County and the Wasatch Front.

Our clients are small and midsized companies that have outgrown do-it-yourself bookkeeping but don’t want a big-firm price tag: contractors, professional practices, retailers, and owner-operated businesses that need dependable numbers.

Work with us however it suits you — at the Kaysville office or fully virtually through video meetings and secure document sharing. Either way, you get one integrated team for taxes, books, payroll, and advice, all year.

What We Do

Accounting Services for Kaysville Businesses

Six ways we take financial work off an owner’s plate — each led by a CPA, scoped and priced before we start.

Business Tax Preparation & Planning

Accurate federal and Utah filings plus a plan for next year — so decisions get made in July, not discovered in April.

Explore business tax services →

Monthly Bookkeeping

CPA-reviewed books in QuickBooks, reconciled monthly — with catch-up work when you’re behind. Clean numbers you can actually run the business on.

See bookkeeping services →

Payroll Services

PayrollOne, our in-house service, runs pay, deposits, filings, and W-2s/1099s — the same team that plans your taxes, so nothing falls between vendors.

Visit PayrollOne →

Fractional CFO & Controller

Budgets, cash-flow forecasting, and pricing decisions with CFO-level thinking — sized for growing Davis County companies, without the full-time hire.

About fractional CFO services →

Entity & S-Corp Strategy

The right structure and a defensible owner salary can change what you owe every year. We review entity choice as your business grows.

Read our S-corp strategy guide →

IRS & Utah Tax Support

CPA representation for IRS and Utah State Tax Commission notices, audits, back taxes, and payment plans — handled for you, start to finish.

Get help with a tax notice →

Utah Tax Planning

Utah-specific strategy, reviewed every year

Pass-through entity (PTE) elections, entity structure, S-corp reasonable compensation, and year-round planning. Utah’s PTE election lets eligible S-corps and partnerships pay state income tax at the entity level, which may affect how those taxes are treated for federal deduction purposes — whether it helps depends on your circumstances, so we evaluate it annually for every pass-through client.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work with clients in person or virtually?

Both. You’re welcome at our Kaysville headquarters at 612 N Kays Dr, and we support fully virtual clients with video meetings and secure document sharing. Most clients use a mix of the two.

What happens during the consultation?

It’s a 30-minute conversation about your business, your current setup, and where you’re losing time or money. Bring your most recent tax return if it’s handy. You’ll leave with honest recommendations whether or not we end up working together.

How is pricing determined?

After the consultation and a look at your books, we quote a fee for a defined scope — tax, bookkeeping, payroll, or a combination — so you know the cost before work begins.

When should a growing business hire a CPA?

Common triggers: hiring your first employees, electing S-corp status, revenue growing past what spreadsheets can track, taking on debt or investors, or a surprise tax bill. If two of those sound familiar, a conversation is worth 30 minutes.

What is Utah’s pass-through entity (PTE) election?

Utah allows eligible S-corporations and partnerships to elect to pay state income tax at the entity level, which may affect how those taxes are treated for federal deduction purposes. Whether the election benefits you depends on your circumstances, so we evaluate it for each pass-through client every year.

Do I need a business license in Kaysville?

Generally, businesses operating within Kaysville city limits need a city business license in addition to Utah state registration, and requirements vary by business type. Check Kaysville City’s licensing page for current rules — we help new clients get registration and licensing set up correctly during onboarding.

Ready for clearer numbers and year-round CPA support?

One 30-minute conversation tells you whether we’re the right fit — no obligation either way.
